How to do it
- Lie on an incline bench set at a 45-degree angle with a dumbbell in each hand, arms straight, and palms facing down just over your thighs.
- Raise both dumbbells in front of you, keeping your arms straight, until they reach opposite your chest.
- Hold the position for a second, then slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position with control.
- Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining a steady and controlled motion.
Form tips
- Avoid using momentum; focus on using your shoulder muscles to lift the weights.
- Engage your core to stabilize your body and prevent arching of the back.
- Exhale as you lift the dumbbells and inhale as you lower them.
