How to do it

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand with an overhand grip (palms facing down). Let your arms hang straight down in front of your hips.
  2. Raise both dumbbells simultaneously in front of you, keeping your arms straight and lifting until the dumbbells are above your head.
  3. Hold the position briefly at the top, ensuring your arms are fully extended above your head.
  4. Lower the dumbbells back to the starting position with control, keeping your movements slow and steady. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Form tips

  • Exhale as you raise the dumbbells and inhale as you lower them.
  • Avoid using momentum; focus on controlled movements.
  • Keep a slight bend in your elbows to reduce strain on your joints.
