How to do it

  1. Begin by lying flat on your back with your arms and legs extended out in a starfish position, holding a dumbbell in each hand.
  2. Simultaneously lift your right arm and left leg towards each other, crunching your torso and bringing the dumbbell towards your left foot.
  3. Lower back down to the starting position with control.
  4. Repeat the movement with your left arm and right leg, alternating sides for the desired number of repetitions.

Form tips

  • Perform the exercise in a controlled manner to maximize muscle engagement.
  • Avoid using momentum to lift your limbs; focus on the contraction of your core muscles.
  • Exhale as you lift your arm and leg, and inhale as you lower them back down.
