How to do it

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand. Bend your elbows at 90 degrees to bring the dumbbells up to shoulder height, with palms facing forward. Elbows should be pointing out and lower than shoulder level.
  2. Raise the dumbbells upward, in an arc motion, until both dumbbells are above your head.
  3. Slowly lower the dumbbells back down to the starting position, keeping your elbows bent at 90 degrees.
  4. Repeat the exercise for the desired number of repetitions.

Form tips

  • Ensure your movements are controlled and avoid using momentum.
  • Exhale as you press the dumbbells upward and inhale as you lower them back down.
  • Keep your wrists straight and aligned with your forearms throughout the exercise.
