How to do it
- Begin in a side plank position on your right side with your right elbow supporting your body, your left arm raised vertically towards the ceiling, and your body forming a straight line from head to heels.
- Lower your left arm, reaching it under and across your torso while slightly lowering your hips.
- Return your left arm to the starting position, lifting your hips back to the straight line.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch to the left side and repeat the movement with your right arm.
Form tips
- Engage your core throughout the exercise to maintain stability and support your lower back.
- Ensure your supporting arm or elbow is directly under your shoulder to maintain proper alignment and reduce strain.
- Keep your hips stable and aligned with your body, avoiding excessive rotation.
- Focus on steady breathing, exhaling as you reach under your torso and inhaling as you return to the starting position.
