How to do it

  1. Adjust the suspension trainer handles to about waist height. Stand facing the handles, holding the handles with an overhand grip (palms facing down), and lean forward slightly with your upper arms perpendicular to your torso.
  2. Keep your arms bent at 90 degrees. Engage your core and keep your body in a straight line from head to heels.
  3. Extend your arms by pressing through your hands until your elbows are fully straight.
  4. Slowly bend your elbows to return to the starting position. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Form tips

  • Breathe steadily: exhale as you extend your arms and inhale as you bend your elbows.
  • Focus on using your triceps to perform the extension, avoiding excessive use of your chest, shoulders or back.
  • Keep your upper arms close to your head and avoid flaring them out to the sides.
