How to do it
- Stand with your feet hip-width apart and place the resistance band under both feet, holding one handle of the band in each hand with your arms extended straight down, palms facing your hips.
- Hinge at your hips and bend your knees, keeping your back straight, lowering your torso until it is almost parallel to the floor.
- Press through your heels and extend your hips and knees to stand back up straight, bringing the handles up along your legs until you are fully upright.
- Repeat the exercise for the desired number of repetitions.
Form tips
- Ensure the resistance band is securely placed under your feet to avoid slipping.
- Exhale as you stand up and inhale as you lower back down.
- Use a resistance band with appropriate tension to ensure you can perform the exercise with good form.
