How to do it
- Begin by placing a sturdy chair against a wall for stability. Position yourself in front of the chair, with your back facing it.
- Place your hands on the floor slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, about a foot away from the chair. Kick up into a handstand position, with your feet resting on the seat of the chair.
- Slowly lower your head towards the floor by bending your elbows, keeping your body straight and your core engaged.
- Push through your hands to extend your arms and return to the starting handstand position. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Form tips
- Engage your core throughout the exercise to maintain stability and prevent arching your back.
- Keep your movements slow and controlled to maximize muscle engagement and prevent injury.
- Focus on steady breathing, exhaling as you push up and inhaling as you lower down.
