How to do it
- Stand facing a wall with your feet shoulder-width apart. Place your hands on the wall at shoulder height and shoulder-width apart.
- Step one foot back, keeping your back leg straight and your front leg slightly bent. Press your back heel into the floor.
- Lean forward slightly, pushing against the wall to deepen the stretch in your calf.
- Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds, then switch legs and repeat.
Form tips
- Keep your back leg straight and your heel pressed into the floor to maximize the stretch.
- Stretch both legs equally to maintain balanced flexibility.
- Breathe deeply and steadily throughout the stretch to help relax your muscles.
