How to do it
- Stand with your feet together, arms extended outwards at shoulder level.
- Step diagonally forward with your right foot, planting it at a 45-degree angle. As you lower into a lunge, rotate your torso to the right and lean down to touch your right foot with your left hand, keeping your left leg straight.
- Press through your right heel and rotate back to center as you return to the starting position.
- Repeat the movement with your left leg, stepping diagonally forward, rotating left, and touching your left foot with your right hand.
Form tips
- Maintain your arms extended at shoulder level throughout the exercise to help with balance and increase the workout intensity.
- Rotate your torso smoothly and keep your movements controlled to avoid any jerky motions that might cause injury.
- Ensure that your lunging knee does not extend past your toes to protect your knee joint.
