How to do it
- Stand with your feet hip-width apart, holding a kettlebell in each hand by your sides with your arms fully extended.
- Step your right foot back and lower your body into a lunge, bending both knees until your left thigh is parallel to the floor and your right knee hovers just above the ground.
- Push through the heel of your front foot to drive yourself back to the starting position, bringing your right foot forward.
- Repeat the movement with your left leg stepping back. Alternate legs for the desired number of repetitions.
Form tips
- Keep your torso upright and avoid leaning forward; your chest should stay proud throughout the movement.
- Ensure your front knee stays aligned with your ankle and does not travel past your toes.
- Step back far enough so that both knees form approximately 90-degree angles at the bottom of the lunge.
