How to do it
- Sit in the machine, adjust the seat height, and grip the pads with your arms at your sides
- Push your arms outward and upward to your sides until they're parallel to the floor
- Pause briefly at the top position with your arms parallel to the ground
- Lower your arms with control back to the starting position at your sides
Form tips
- Keep your torso stable, upright, and still throughout
- Lead the movement with your elbows, not your hands
- Maintain controlled movement in both lifting and lowering directions
- Don't raise your arms above parallel to avoid shoulder stress
